Reporting to NICNAS Annually
Under sections 21AA and 40N of the Industrial Chemicals (Notification and Assessment) Act 1989, a person introducing a new industrial chemical under certain permits, certificates or exemptions in a registration year is required to provide a report to the Director, NICNAS, stating the name and quantity of the chemical that was introduced.
WHO NEEDS TO REPORT?
Organisations who have introduced NEW industrial chemicals under an Exemption or certain Permits & Certificates in any part of the previous registration year (1 September 2009 – 31 August 2010) will need to submit a report.
Permits and Certificates
Organisations who have been issued one of the following need to report:

Commercial Evaluation Permit (CEC); and/or
-
Low Volume Chemical Permit (LVC); and/or
-
Controlled Use Permit (CUP); and/or
- Self Assessed Assessment Certificate (PLC or SAPLC).
Exemptions
Organisations who have introduced (imported or manufactured) a NEW industrial chemical in one of the exemption categories below need to submit an annual report:
REPORTS DUE BY
Under the Act, Annual Reports for the 2009-2010 registration year must be submitted to NICNAS by 28 September 2010.

The NICNAS Annual Reporting Module has been developed to enable organisations with annual reporting obligations to submit reports online via the NICNAS website.

Submit your Annual Reports and view all previously submitted data in the one location by entering your NICNAS Organisation Number & ABN using the web address below.

To enrol your Organisation for Online Reporting, please use the web address below and Select ENROL under the New Enrolment Section. NICNAS will acknowledge your Enrolment by confirming your Password by email.
